Brighton, Sussex: Dead Language Press 1st edition & London: Matrix Press, 2nd edition (1963?) Stapled illustrated wrps. Printed letterpress; one leaf printed on lavender paper. Heliczer's 1963 Dead Language catalogue prints the publication year as 1961, a year before he moved to New York; elsewhere Tom Raworth gives the year as 1963, and has stated that "Piero was livi Brighton, Sussex: Dead Language Press 1st edition & London: Matrix Press, 2nd edition (1963?) Stapled illustrated wrps. Printed letterpress; one leaf printed on lavender paper. Heliczer's 1963 Dead Language catalogue prints the publication year as 1961, a year before he moved to New York; elsewhere Tom Raworth gives the year as 1963, and has stated that "Piero was living with us; he and I printed it on my treadle press which was off Oxford Street in Richard Moore's print-shop..".. This is an early poem by Heliczer in 11 takes and showcases his early inimitable style of humour and surrealism. Dead Language Press is now a legendary mini printing press of the 1950s and 1960s and its books are highly collectible. Heliczer, who was good friends with Angus Maclise and Ira Cohen and once arranged a reading for Corso and Burroughs, has sometimes been referred to as the mysterious "lost beat".
